You can do a cacao ceremony according to your wishes and needs. It is recommended that you prepare your body by fasting slightly. Avoid eating anything three to four hours before the ceremony and drink plenty of water. Find your place of power that gives you peace and well-being. You can cleanse or energize the room with herbs or incense. Palo Santo and/or sage are ideal for this. There are no fixed rules for a cacao ritual. Decide for yourself whether you want to hold it outdoors or in a room, with or without an altar.
Cacao ceremonies are often associated with a specific theme or intention, so think about what intention you want to achieve with the ceremony.
1: Cut the desired amount of raw cocoa from the block and chop it into small pieces.
2: Heat water or your preferred milk in a saucepan, but do not let it boil. (We recommend using plant-based milk)
3: Add the cocoa, stirring constantly with a whisk.
4: Drink it plain or add spices such as cinnamon, vanilla, turmeric, cardamom and a pinch of cayenne pepper. If you like it a little sweeter, add coconut blossom sugar.
5: Once the chocolate has melted, you can pour the cocoa into your desired container. Small tip: To make it even creamier, use a milk frother or wooden whisk. And now, enjoy your cocoa moment
